Synopsis

Bongo is a young Orangutan living in the Malaysian rainforest. His greatest dream is to become a famous drummer...much to the amusement of his friends and family.
Bongo’s world is turned upside-down when he discovers that his jungle home is being cleared to make way for a palm oil plantation. After an encounter with a kindly farmer who explains he needs to farm palm oil to live, Bongo decides to travel to the city to follow his dream and to try and fix the problem.

About the Author

Pete is a worldwide professional guitarist, music tutor, singer, songwriter and producer. He has been a performing musician for over twenty years, playing in locations such as England, Europe, the USA and Asia. Pete has also enjoyed working with not-for-profit organisations in a variety of music programmes supporting people with disabilities and the community. On meeting his musical wife, Faye, they established “Bongo Bedlam”, an interactive music programme for toddlers and preschoolers featuring “Bongo the orangutan”. Bongo Bedlam was inspired by his love of great apes, especially the orangutan and the conservation of their habitat.
